Itinerary

Ride out of the busy Saigon for the countryside, take the ferry across the scenic Saigon River. We continue to ride on the beautiful winding roads alongside the rubber plantations and stop to learn how the locals take latex from the rubber trees. We will then visit Minh Dam Army Base to witness the harsh conditions of the battle between the Americans and Vietnamese during the war before 1975. The Thuong Chieu Monastery Pagoda, a beautifully crafted religious structure, is not to be missed. Take some time to relax as you dip your body in the hot water springs of Binh Chau. Open your mind and enlighten yourself about the wonders of Buddhism with a visit to the historic vestige Dinh Mountain. Ride to the peaceful beach of Long Hai and stay overnight.

 

Enjoy the great ride along the beautiful coastline, stop at Ke Ga Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in South East Asia, to have some great shots of this scenic landscape. On our way riding to Mui Ne, we will stop at Van Thuy Tu Temple to experience the special culture of the local fishermen worshiping the skeleton of an enormous whale. And the ancient Champa Towers are well-worth a visit to learn about the Cham hill tribe and culture. You might want to cool off in the ocean of Mui Ne Beach after a hot day riding. We will enjoy a pleasant night in Mui Ne.

Leave Mui Ne in the early morning to visit the highlights of the area such as Fishing Village, Fairy Springs, Red Canyon, White Sand Dunes. Get back on the motorbike and ride through the dragon fruit farms, you might want to get some of these fresh fruits and try them for yourself. We continue to ride to the stunning curvy mountain roads of the Central Highlands and stop at the K'ho ethnic minority village where you will witness their unique culture, wild lifestyle and enjoy their natural hospitality. Arrive in Bao Loc at about 5 pm. Check-in and stay overnight.

Leaving Bao Loc for Dalat, visit the green tea farms, the cascade waterfall, Pongour, mushroom farms, Elephant Waterfall, silkworm villages and silk processing chains, and coffee plantations, and learn how the highlanders process coffee in their traditional way. 

This is a great chance for you to try the famous “Weasel Coffee” in Vietnam. We continue along the winding mountain trail and you have an opportunity to take photos of some of the most spectacular views in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Our following stops are the vegetable and flower farms where you will observe the farmers cultivating their many goods on the farms. 

Arrive in the beautiful mountain city, Dalat around 4 p.m. Enjoy a refreshing escape from the heat in this cool mountain climate. Many aspects of the culture and architecture in Dalat were strongly influenced by the French. Take some time to explore and enjoy this gorgeous city, full of exceptionally friendly people and have a great night in Dalat

Leave 'Le Petite Paris' after visiting the highlights of the city including the Crazy House, Flower Market, Dalat Former Railway Station, and many more. Next, it’s off to the countryside on the way to the Central Highlands. Enjoy the ride while you take in all the fabulous scenery. Take a break at a beautiful restaurant on the mountain pass and taste some delicious traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

Visit the Agent Orange area to learn about the history of this part of Vietnam during the war. Take some time to trek through the jungle to relax and enjoy the breathtaking nature of the Central Highlands. Visit the chopstick factory to learn how the locals make chopsticks from bamboo. Ride through the vast rice fields and observe the rice agriculture of the M'nong ethnic minority people of the Central Highlands.

After arriving in Lak Lake, you have your choice of a home-stay in the traditional Long House with the local people or a lovely hotel that faces the beautiful natural lake.

Take a walk through the Jun Village to experience the M’nong hill tribe’s traditional culture and their daily life. You might want to ride an elephant or boat to explore the other side of stunning Lak Lake where you could have some great shots of the sunrise on the lake or fishermen. Get back on the motorbike and ride through the small charming villages. We then trek to the peak of the Elephant Rock Mountain and enjoy the feeling of being in nature, a fascinating panoramic view of the whole village. Stop at the brick factory and learn how the locals produce bricks in their old traditional way.

Head to Dray Sap waterfall via the scenic winding jungle paths, we witness the massive waterfall of the Central Highlands. The natural “Fairy Pool” nearby is well-worth for swimming after an awesome day riding a motorbike.

The traditional Long House in the jungle of the highlanders is the place we stay overnight. Our dinner is full of excitement with BBQs and rice cooked in the bamboo tubes.

The Ho Chi Minh trail was a logistical system that ran from North to South Vietnam that provided support, in the form of manpower and material to the North Vietnamese Army during the war… And we ride on this stunning trail today to learn about the history, the locals have struggled during Vietnam War before 1975 and the peaceful life after 4 decades of independence. We take some time to stop at some small villages in the remote countryside to experience how the daily life of the farmers making rice papers, noodles for a living. We arrive in Chu Se, a small town on the Ho Chi Minh trail, about 5 pm. Check-in and stay overnight.

We ride to Pleiku and visit the beautiful “Pearl of Pleiku Plateau”, Sea Lake, which used to be a volcanic crater that went extinct a million years ago. You would be surprised by the cool air, the beautiful and peaceful landscape of greenish pine trees and winding roads, terraced fields on mountains.
Continue to travel to Kon Tum where you visit Kon Tum Prison, Wooden Church, and spend some time playing with the adorable kids at Vinh Son Orphanage. Ride to the Kon K’tu village where you open the knowledge about the Ede hill tribe’s culture, custom, and their unique traditional Rong House. Get back to town about 5 pm and stay overnight.

Riding the Ho Chi Minh Trail is an incredible experience, cruise along and let the amazing scenery take you away. Stop off for a break and get to learn more about the different cultures of the ethnic minority groups such as Ch’ru, Bana, Ede who live in the East of Truong Son Mountain ranges. The well-known Phoenix Airport and Charlie Hill are interesting areas for a couple of stops to learn how the locals struggled throughout the war. Get to Kham Duc, a small mountain town on the Ho Chi Minh trail, and stay overnight.

Explore the colorful local market of the mountain town of Kham Duc in the early morning to learn how the locals trade their goods is delightful. Get back on the motorbike and continue to ride along the marvelous Ho Chi Minh Trail. Next is off for the ferry to cross Thu Bon River for My Son Holy Land, a unique beautiful sanctuary world of the ancient Cham religion and architecture. Arrive in ancient Hoi An town, at the hotel at about 04:00 pm and explore this beautiful town on foot.

We ride through the small roads in the countryside to reach Tra Que Village. From here, you could experience how the locals doing for a living in the isolated regions and enjoy their natural hospitality. We then continue to ride to Marble Mountain where you could be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the area and panoramic view of Da Nang City. We head north along the stunning beach of My Khe and climb up Hai Van Pass, winding higher and higher into the often cloud-shrouded skies. At the top, we stop and soak in the spectacular views of Vietnam's most scenic spots. The downward descent is no less exciting this afternoon. Reaching the base of the mountain you’ll happen upon a stretch of pristine coastline near the fishing village of Lang Co. We stop to dip our toes into the sea, chat with fishermen, and take photos.

We continue our day by visiting Elephant Springs which allows you to have many opportunities for some great photos of the areas. You might want to jump into the beautiful natural lake at the bottom of the springs to refresh your body after a long hot day traveling. We cruise into the center of Hue in the late afternoon and stay overnight.

Visit Nam Giao ancient village, Hue citadels, Minh Mang Tomb, orange agent areas to learn more about the war. We then head to the Ho Chi Minh trail again to visit the historic vestige and battlefield Hamburger Hill. Stop in Churu Van Kieu villages to learn more about their daily life as well as the legendary resistance against Americans, stop in Dakrong area and Khe Sanh battlefield,…before arriving in Khe Sanh and stay overnight.

We take more time to experience the civil war in Vietnam which happened before 1975, such as DMZ, Hien Luong Bridge, and Vinh Moc tunnels. Get back on the bike again and ride the beautiful Northern Truong Son mountain range. We arrive in Dong Hoi at about 05:00 pm and stay overnight.

Leave early in the morning to visit historic vestige Phu Hoa church, the 'battlefield village', continue following the Ho Chi Minh trail to Phong Nha Caves, one of the two natural world heritages of Vietnam. Spend around 4 hours exploring the area by foot and boat. Stay overnight in Phong Nha.

Saying goodbye to the marvelous Phong Nha Caves, we visit Da Nhay beach, shrimp farms, salt-making village, stop over Ngang Pass, and witness the spectacular panoramic view of the region. We arrive in Ky Anh around 05:00 pm and stay overnight.

After breakfast, we leave Ky Anh for Vinh (Ho Chi Minh's homeland), visit Huong Tich pagoda, the historic vestige Dong Loc Three Way Crossroad, The Nguyen Du Great Poet Monument, and then Ho Chi Minh Square . Stay overnight in Vinh.

Get on the road to visit Sen village, where Ho Chi Minh was born and grown-up, Chua village, learn more about Vietnamese history when you visit the Ba Trieu temple, go to different small villages to see the locals make the traditional mats, marble stones, the way they roll and process tobacco, you will arrive in Thanh Hoa around 5 p.m and stay overnight.

Leaving Thanh Hoa in the early morning for Ninh Binh, we continue traveling to the ancient capital of many Dynasties of Vietnam, visit the breath-taking nature of Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Bai Dinh Temple, Trang An,...and then head to Cuc Phuong National Park to enjoy the natural life ...Overnight in Ninh Binh

We start another exciting day by visiting Ho Dynasty Citadel, continue following the Ho Chi Minh trail to get some great photos before visiting the Spiritual Fish Springs, Fairy Caves, visit and learn more about the culture of the ethnic minority, Muong. Homestay with locals at night in Hoa Binh

The last day of our adventure is not less interesting, we take time to visit the Viet - Muong village, Hoa Binh lake, enjoy the wonderful views on the top of Hoa Binh Hydro Electricity, go to the isolated village of this ethnic minority to experience their daily life,... We then arrive in the busy Hanoi at about 05:00 pm and finish our adventure.
